Due to the inclement weather forecasted overnight and through the morning tomorrow Sunday July 25,2021 we are advising anyone thingking of coming to pick at the farm tomorrow to call before coming to check the conditions. Because of the aforementioned we will be open on Monday July 26,2021. from 8:00am till 5:00pm for picking where as normally we would be closed. We welcome you back for our blueberry season 2021 at Rubicon Farms! PLEASE READ THIS NOTE BEFORE HEADING TO THE FARM IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO PICK-YOUR-OWN. IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION! PICK-YOUR-OWN SEASON GUIDELINES 2021! - Everyone who would like to go into our fields must pick at least a 1-quart /1-LIiter container each. (applicable to everyone including 3yrs and older) -NO EMPTY HANDS will be permitted,for adults ,children,including everone 3yrs and older. We will not permit anyone WITHOUT a container to go into our fields. We choose a container and pay before we picked. Picked-your-own berries are sold by the container again this year. ** Price may change without prior notice** How it works: 1. Please don’t forget to bring your water bottle and hat.Please don’t forget to apply sunscreen if you plan to pick. 3. On arrival you will be asked to choose your container to purchase (Applicable to everyone 3yrs and older) 4. Everyone must have a container in their hands to go to the field. 5. You will be directed to the hand washing station for everyone to wash their hands with soap and water before going to the field. 6. George will guide you and assign you a row.Please pick clean.No criss-cross between rows.We asked that you REMAIN where you are assigned to pick.and any other instructions you are given (as normal). 7. Please practice physical distancing 2 metres from others.If NOT able to please wear a mask. 8. First come first spot basis in the field.Please understand and be patient if it becomes necessary to wait for a spot in the field upon your arrival. 9. Hand washing station -Everyone MUST wash and sanitize hands PRIOR to picking berries. 10. PLEASE NO SAMPLING ,NO EATING/NO SNACKING of Berries when you pick Due to Covid -19 . 11. Children are always welcomed here at our farm however please note that it is your responsibility to make sure they remain in the same row as you and respect any and all social distancing guidelines at all times. If you or members of your group are not respectful, we hold the right to ask you to leave. We are here as a fun and relaxing place for everyone to come and enjoy and have a zero-tolerance policy towards anyone who cannot be respectful towards our staff and other guests. 12. Pets are not allowed in the property.Please leave them at home. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION! We have limited pre-picked blueberries available.Please call us ahead before heading to the farm if you want a pre-picked basket of blueberries or you may call us to reserve a basket of berries at 613-440-0897. Hello Everyone, Unfortunately our berries have begun to go soft and our season has come to an end. 😔 We thank all of you for taking time to come visit the farm and support our business. 😊 We will continue to sell our organic fed free range eggs. You can call ahead and pre order the eggs if you like as we have limited quantities or feel free to drop in if passing by. VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Our BIG DAY STARTING TOMORROW !! BLUEBERRY PICKING SEASON 2020 : We have slightly different DAYS of operation this year. We are OPEN 5 days a week from Wednesday to Sunday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. CLOSED every MONDAY AND TUESDAY. We will be selling the blueberries by volume (by basket)this year to minimize extra interaction which happens during the weighing process as in previous years. We have 2 sizes 2L and 4L baskets available. We will be following Covid -19 protocols as we are all seeing throughout our communities nowadays. 1.)We ask that if you are not feeling well or are experiencing any symptoms of sickness at all that you please refrain from coming to the farm. 2.)Please practice physical distancing 2 metres from others. Greetings everyone, WE WILL BE OPEN FOR THE 2020 SEASON! The blueberry picking season is just around the corner and we are looking forward to inviting you all back to get your berries. We are expecting to be open in the last week of July and will provide an exact date mid July based on the berries ripening. With the current state of the Covid-19 situation we will be following the guidelines of the regulatory and health agencies to ensure a safe picking experience for all. Some guidelines to follow: 1. We ask that if you are not feeling well or are experiencing any symptoms of sickness at all that you please refrain from coming to the farm. 2. We ask that you practice social distancing like you do anywhere else by maintaining a distance of 2 meters from others. 3. We ask that you wash and sanitize your hands on arrival at our sanitation station. 4. We ask that you remain where you are asked to pick and any other instructions you are given (as normal). 5. We ask that you refrain from sampling the berries as you pick. 6. We encourage the use of face masks while visiting.
